At our school, we don't aim to teach you how to do drag because, as we all know, art is subjective. Instead, we focus on enhancing the skills you already possess and nurturing those you need to thrive in the business. We strive to create a comfortable environment for all our students, offering both one-on-one and online classes to cater to your individual needs. Each student undergoes a personalized interview with our Dean of Students and Academy Founder, Martin Cooper, or Coco Montrese, to determine your educational interests and the best-suited classes to help you excel in your artform.

  • No, we do not teach you how to do drag. The main objective of THE DRAG ACADEMY is to enhance and polish the talent you already possess, art is subjective. 

    Here at TDA we thrive on our students gaining the knowledge and professionalism to enhance what they've always had inside. 

  • Like any school or university, we cannot guarantee a job or cast spot. However, our program offers a significant advantage by providing a wealth of knowledge from our founder and esteemed guest professors. Experience is often the best teacher, and these experts will share their insights and the skills they’ve honed to master the craft.

    These teachers will be here to pass on their experiences and how they were able to develop the tricks of the trade.

  • YouTube tutorials may offer quick tips and techniques, but at TDA, our courses are led by seasoned professors with years of experience in the entertainment industry. We take pride in nurturing each artist’s unique abilities, focusing on individual growth while helping students maintain authenticity, build confidence, and develop the professional skills needed to captivate audiences and sustain a lasting, successful career.
